The Billboard Music Awards got off to a rockin' start Sunday evening, when LMFAO kicked off the night's performances with a very high energy performance of "Party Rock Anthem," with "Sexy and I Know It" remixed in.
The veritable dance party anthem of the year, fans went wild when RedFoo and SkyBlu took the stage, blasting the familiar beginning chords of the party favorite. Joining the two on stage to ring in the popular music awards show was a giant bright pink stuffed bear and an enormous stuffed zebra—both of whom joined the group members in pantsing themselves midway through the performance. Not necessarily the most appropriate introduction for the Billboard Music Awards when it begins as early as 8/7 CST, but not as risque as the many other mishaps fans have seen in awards shows in the past!
There are still many more performances up ahead, including The Wanted, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder with Alicia Keys, and more.
