Gossip Girl will return for a shortened final season, and now fans are being given some spoilers about what is to come when the series does return for its sixth season. Josh Safran and Stephanie Savage want to both make sure the series goes out on the right note with the opportunity they have been given. This series could have very easily landed on the chopping block along with Ringer and The Secret Circle, but this series was given the chance to wrap things up nicely for the characters and all their fans.
What did Safran and Savage have to say about the final season? TV Line gave fans the lowdown, and it sounds like the pair are really trying to think of those fans that have tuned in since the beginning and supported Gossip Girl. Safran and Savage said the following, according TV Line:
"EP Josh Schwartz confirms that the 11-episode final season will focus on 'core dynamics and the core characters.' Adds Stephanie Savage: 'There are definitely some things we want to see in the series finale, and we think we have a great opportunity to tell those final stories and honor our characters and honor our fans. We're really excited for this final run.'"
Things should be interesting in the final season. Dan and Blair are done, and Blair is now with Chuck. Will Dan and Serena remain together? What other drama will take place? Anything can happen on this series, and it usually does. Blair did marry a prince after all - even if the marriage was over as soon as it began.
