Will the best-selling fan-fic lead to more best-selling fan-fic? Housewives everywhere can certainly dream.
On the same website that now famous books were first published as fan fiction inspired by Twilight, fans of the of the sexy, bondage-filled erotica have begun posting fan fiction of their own, ranging from parodies of the book written "from the point of view of a tampon," to some really ambitious stories that cross-over into other famous books, namely the Harry Potter universe. Who knew the boy who lived could be kinky? Now there's a best-seller in the making.
Although generally fan fiction is considered a tribute to beloved books, some of the parodies of E L James' books may actually be taking a stab at the author for cashing in on her Twilight fan fiction. Websites like FanFiction.net create a platform for rabid book fans who just can't seem to get enough of the stories they love and sharing fan fiction is about the love of the stories, not the hope of becoming discoveredÂ—and more importantly paidÂ—as a writer.
