Ryan Seacrest asked Maynard about what interests her in Jef Holm—the somewhat shy and quiet contestant on The Bachelorette 2012 who is rumored to be a finalist on the show. They also discussed Brad Womack and how she would have dealt with his "dodge a bullet" comment the moment she heard it in his interview.
Jef Holm is one of the more mellow contestants on Emily's season. It's not known if he's the man Emily will pick at the end of the season, but he's one of the leading favorites.
Seacrest asked what it is about Jef that she's attracted to.
"I think it's because he's like the last person that I would ever expect to be on The Bachelorette," Emily said. "He's not the typical guy who comes on the show. He's a very free spirit, but he's also very soft-spoken....just his voice makes me feel totally calm....and he's funny. I think he's a great guy."
Seacrest observed that Jef was "looking away" a lot and wondered if he was playing games. Emily disagreed and felt Jef is just shy.
Emily answered, "I think he's very shy, which is kind of the same way I was with Brad. I wasn't like 'Hey, look at me, look at me!'."
As fans know by now, Brad Womack made a statement that could have been taken two different ways when he said in an interview he was glad he "dodged a bullet" getting out of the relationship with Emily.
How did Emily feel?
"Honestly when I first heard it, my feelings were a little bit hurt...just because I felt we ended things on such great terms and I've never said anything bad about him," the single mom said. "But, I really thought about it and I know Brad better than that and I'm sure he didn't mean it the way it sounded. And, I don't take it...take it to heart."
Ryan Seacrest wondered if Emily would have used the "f" word texting Brad had she heard his comment that very second.
"A couple...a couple," Emily admitted. "I'm going to be honest."
Emily Maynard has given quite a few interviews since taping The Bachelorette 2012, but she opened up a bit more in this one. Will she choose Jef Holm as her future husband—or did she at least find someone worth exploring a future with?
