The new Pusha T "Exodus 23:1" song is now online, which is believed to be a Drake diss track. Recently, the rapper and singer who brought this new track to life spoke about how it all came about.
The brand new song could appear on the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music collaboration album from Kanye West and crew called "Cruel Summer." "Exodus 23:1" was released online just yesterday, and features Pusha rapping along with The Dream singing. The duo talked to MTV News about the haunting-yet-hot new track.
Pusha, who is a member of Virginia rap group The Clipse, said of the way it all came together with The Dream:
"So we sent it out and it came back so quick. Dream was like, 'Man this is one of the ones,' Personally, I never thought the record was going to come back that quickly. I was in New Orleans somewhere and Rico was like, 'Aye! Dream did it — he on the phone!' I thought, 'OK, wait a minute this might really be something.'"
The new "Exodus 23:1" song is believed to be a diss track aimed at Drake and Young Chop. It's already prompted plenty of controversy and response too, even getting rapper Lil Wayne bothered enough to tweet about Pusha T. The new song, produced by RicoBeats, may appear on the G.O.O.D. music collab album, as well as Pusha's first solo album on Kanye's label. For now, it will have people talking, and that's one of the major goals of a successful hip hop track.
