Emily Maynard is looking for love on the current season of The Bachelorette, but for the first time in the show's history, she is also looking for someone to be a father to her 6-year-old daughter, Ricki. Of course she doesn't expect every guy in his 20's to be ready to take on that responsibility, and on Monday night's episode, she is going to find out that a couple of her top picks aren't ready for parenthood.
"I don't have a lot of experience with kids. You've got to teach me," said Alessandro, calling the situation a "compromise." It sounds like he may not be getting a rose this week. Also on the chopping block? This season's villain, Kalon (a.k.a. Helicopter Guy). "I always had believed that my first child would be one of my own," Kalon tells Maynard point-blank.
Emily Maynard definitely has her work cut out for her each week, but it looks like these eliminations (providing that she sends them both packing) might come easy for her. Ricki is and always will be a huge part of her life and when she calls that an "honor," she most certainly means it. Hopefully Emily can weed out the guys who aren't a good fit for her and Ricki early on in the season so that she doesn't get hurt (again) in the end.
