Auditions for the second season of The X Factor in the US have begun, and Simon Cowell is already talking down the competition. Over the weekend, sources backstage at the latest auditions overheard comments made by both Cowell and his co-judge L.A. Reid to contestants that failed during their auditions for them. Those with The Voice or fans that watch the series should take note of these comments.
What did Simon and L.A. have to say to this one contestant? According to Monsters and Critics, the pair said the following:
After the singer's audition, fellow panelist L.A. Reid told them: 'If you decide to try out again, please do it on another show.' Simon added: 'Yes, the good news is I hear 'The Voice' auditions are happening next week.'
Now this is from backstage, so it could have been said differently or not at all. That is possible. However, Cowell has dinged The Voice in public before. In fact, after seeing an episode of the competition series, he talked about shows trying to rip his off.
The auditions for this season of The X Factor have just started, and with new ladies on the judging panel, it should be interesting to see how this season compares to last season. Britney Spears has had a lot of buzz in her new role already with walk off rumors running wild early on in the weekend.
Fans don't have long to wait to see how The X-Factor and The Voice measure up against each other. Both series will air new seasons this fall.
