Stick a fork in The Secret Circle because it is done. Kevin Williamson confirmed that show's death recently, but he does have his eye on one of the stars of the series. Who does he have his eye on? That star would be Phoebe Tonkin. She was the actress behind bad girl Faye. Now that she is out of a job, she is free to go elsewhere, and that includes The Vampire Diaries.
Williamson said the following about the actress when he spoke about the end of The Secret Circle:
"I want her on Vampire Diaries. I ought to write her in."
Tonkin would be a great fit for The Vampire Diaries. Just a suggestion - do not make her a witch. Nothing is worse than type casting. She would fit in with the cast as well. In real life, she is best friends with Claire Holt, the actress behind original vampire Rebekah. She is also friends with Joseph Morgan, the actor behind Klaus.
Now nothing is set in stone yet. Williamson does tend to get what he wants. In the past, the network and the executive producers promised no crossovers between the two series, but with the witchy series on its way to canceled series heaven, the door is now open for Tonkin to come to Mystic Falls. She would make for an amazing vampire.
Recent spoilers also teased a new love interest for Damon to arrive in the second half of season four. Wouldn't Phoebe and Ian make a great looking pair together on-screen? Williamson should take advantage of all that pretty.
