In new video clips of The Bachelorette 2012 spoilers, age becomes an issue in week 4. When the guys are casually lounging around talking, Doug says Chris is the least mature of anyone on the show because he's 25 years old. Chris objects to that, but Ryan agrees that a five-year difference makes a big difference in a man's life.
Doug goes on about big changes men have at the ages of 21, 25, 30, and 35. Everyone feels the same, except poor Chris. Doug tells him he disagrees because he's "25."
Chris thinks it's about life experience and how someone grows with it.
While The Bachelorette 2012 contestants seem to poke fun at Chris, he comes off more mature than any of them despite his younger age. Emily Maynard is 26, but men mature later in most cases. It's a good thing she has a lot of men in their late 20s and 30s on the show, for sure. A single mom can't afford to have someone who doesn't understand her situation -- or who isn't read to be a father.
