The CMT Awards live stream begins at 7PM EST tonight, which is just one hour before the main show starts. With this coverage, country music fans can watch red carpet arrivals on the internet, or they can watch them on TV via CMT. The fact they have the choice, allows fans to use the DVR to record another show or watch it at 7PM as well. It's important to note that the awards show itself will not be live streamed, only the red carpet pre-show.
So how about a big surprise for tonight? It was reported on the CMT website that President Barack Obama, and 2012 candidate Mitt Romney, will both appear as part of the awards show. However, should fans expect them to appear on the red carpet? How cool would it be to see Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle stepping out in their fancy duds, or Romney in some cowboy boots and a tall hat?
While they're scheduled to be a part of the show, that may not mean live and in person. They will appear at the top of the show after the red carpet.
