As casting for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire gets underway, fans are rallying to get their favorite roles filled by their favorite actors. Sometimes those fans are also actors rallying for a part.
The first role to have officially been offered was Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee to Philip Seymour Hoffman. And while there's no word yet on whether or not Hoffman has accepted, there is another celebrity who is eager to work with the hit franchise. Naya Rivera from television's hit musical sitcom Glee is voicing her desire for the role of Johanna Mason.
Rivera said, "I started reading the books before I even knew they were making it into a movie. I'm just a huge fan. I would love to play Johanna Mason. She's the axe-wielding ex-tribute and former winner. She's a grade-A bada**!"
If there was ever an actress who could play a bada**, it is definitely Naya Rivera. She already fits the bill with her exotic look. She's been able to bring life to her sassy character, Santana Lopez, on Glee. Fans are just as hopeful Rivera will be able to bring that same passion to Catching Fire. She may not have been apart of Hunger Games but that doesn't mean she can't be part of its sequel.
