How dare he! Yes, Glenn Beck has once again proven what a hate-filled racist homophobe he is, he doesn't like 'Glee'. Oh, the nerve! Beck was speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C. Friday when he brought up the super popular musical show geared at teens. It is a pretty racy show for the young kids watching. He said, "It's horrifying some of the things that they're teaching high schoolers," and he is working on his own show, with Christian values, that everyone, 'including liberals', will like. Beck said, "We are working with a rapper — I can't say who yet — but my audience and his audience will say, "What?"'
It wasn't all 'Glee'-hate from Beck, in fact, he was very impressed with most of it. "It's brilliantly done. It's produced, brilliantly. Its music, brilliant. Its acting, brilliant. Its cinematography, brilliant. All of it!" Beck is known to enjoy musicals with his family. He became friends with U2 frontman, Bono, during the Broadway run of 'Spiderman', which he couldn't stop talking about on the air! What Beck didn't mention was if his show (Oedipus Project!) would air on network TV or on his own successful network, GBTV.
Glenn Beck spent most of his speech talking about history, his favorite subject, about how savage slavery was and he compared the Southern treatment of Prisoners-of-War to the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust. At one point, talking about the arrogance of Manifest Destiny doctrine, "What we did to the native Americans was 'MANIFEST DESTINY!'" As always, Beck gave a terrific and well-received speech. Maybe his show will give 'Glee' a run for its money? Nah.
