The Walking Dead may not be back until October 14, but this weekend's Comic-Con revealed a new season 3 trailer to tease fans with details of what's coming up.
Walking Dead Season 3 Trailer
The AMC drama has become quite the hit, and while there have been some weaker episodes, the third season is gearing up to be quite an exciting one. The Governor is being introduced. Michonne will officially be part of the storyline. They're going to the prison. It's going to be an action-packed, walker-packed, gore- and killing-filled season. AMC released a new promo for the new season at Comic-Con, and it is now online (below) so if you didn't make it to San Diego, you haven't missed out completely on the happenings of the weekend.
The Walking Dead season 3 trailer shows the scene that the Talking Dead season 3 special previewed: Michonne killing walkers. You also get to see more of Andrea with Michonne and her walkers, and they see the helicopter, which is fast losing control. They're going down. The survivors are still pushing and fighting to stay alive, and they're headed for the prison, but of course, there are going to be walkers in their way. Rick tells the others, "This prison is ours," and considering the state they're in, any little bit of hope they can get goes a long way. However, the prison is far from being a safe haven like they saw the farm as.
The preview also shows what happens to Andrea and Michonne, and they're going to be in trouble. The survivors may be dealing with walkers in the prison, but Andrea and Michonne are in Woodbury with the Governor. It seems like a normal town, but Michonne's right to say, "I don't trust him." Andrea telling him what happened and how many more survivors are out there is likely a bad idea. Rick refuses to give up the prison. He says they spilled blood. Will more be spilled before it's all said and done? Since this is Walking Dead, the answer is yes. The trailer ends in the best way possible, with a look at Merle, complete with what he's now sporting on his arm: "Now, how's about a big hug for your old pal, Merle, huh?"
