Glee will be back with its fourth season on September 13, and with the time being split between Lima, Ohio and New York, as things change after some of the characters have graduated, of course there will be new characters. Two of them have been cast.
Season 4 Spoilers
According to TVLine, Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist will be joining the cast in the fall. Geyer is going to be playing Brody Weston, who is described as "a handsome upperclassman at NYADA who shows an interest in Lea Michele's Rachel." Uh-oh, what does this mean for Finn and Rachel's future? They may be broken up while they're each pursuing what they need to, but there's always the possibility that they'll get back together. They had that emotional goodbye scene in the season 3 finale (check out videos here for what Gather.com found out from Michele and Cory Monteith about that scene and what's to come in Glee season 4). Could Brody ruin any plans of reconciliation, or will Rachel reject his advances? This could give them a chance to explore a romance outside of McKinley for Rachel, one that could be mature and perhaps give her the chance to see what else is out there (and ultimately lead her back to Finn?), but she is also going to be dealing with being at NYADA and the challenges that entails.
Then there's Artist, who has been cast to play a role that has been teased for some time now: "Puck's younger half-brother Jake." Is he going to follow in Puck's footsteps? Will Puck return to McKinley to see how his younger brother is doing? Last season saw Puck graduate despite some obstacles, meaning the New Directions lost their bad boy they would've had if Puck had had to repeat senior year (and if he had done so). Will Jake be the club's bad boy like his brother was?
