The Dancing with the Stars All Star season may still be a few months away, but the cast will be revealed on Friday, July 27 during ABC's Summer Press Tour. Which celebs from seasons past will return for another crack at the coveted Mirrorball Trophy?
Although the stars have remained mum about whether or not they'll return to DWTS, the folks over at PureDWTS have kept busy compiling information on probable candidates. According to their research, Spice Girl Mel B, who finished in second place with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy at the close of season 5 behind winners Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough, is a near-lock. Mel was a fabulous dancer and could've easily won, had votes been based on skill alone. And Maks, who has yet to win a season of the hit reality competition, is no doubt hungry for a win, though there's no guarantee that returning celebs will be paired with their original partners.
But the network's decision aside, it seems that the final all-star will be chosen by the fans, per a July 23 tweet from show host Tom Bergeron. The funnyman teased "Looking forward to Friday's DWTS All-Star Cast announcement. We'll be announcing all but one, then YOU have to get to work! #DWTS"
So which former hoofer should absolutely make a comeback? Season five's Sabrina Bryan, who was infamously eliminated sixth despite displaying stellar ballroom chops, is a clear choice. She deserves a second shot at the win, whether or not she's paired up with former partner Mark Ballas.
And who shouldn't return? Reality mom Kate Gosselin, who judge Bruno Tonioli once likened to a shopping cart on the dancefloor.
