Emma Watson and Matt Bomer have not been cast as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie, so fans of Alexis Bledel, Lucy Hale, Ian Somerhalder, and Jessie Pavelka can relax.
Since the movie will probably be the biggest box office chick flick since Twilight, it's no surprise that new casting rumors pop up every
week. However, producers of the movie want fans of 50 Shades to know that the roles of Christian and Ana are probably still a long way from being cast. This is understandable since there's not a script for actresses and actors to read yet.
Recently there were reports that Emma Watson was in talks to play Anastasia Steele and that Matt Bomer had been cast as Christian Grey. According to Perez Hilton, producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti both took to Twitter to deny the reports. Both of them let 50 Shades of Grey fans know that they have to choose a director and writer for the movie before anyone is approached for a role.
Of course this doesn't mean that Emma and Matt are completely out of the running - if they decide to give the script a chance and it sounds like something they'd like to do, then perhaps they'll audition for the film. Based on the kind of movies Emma has been doing recently, it doesn't seem like she'd be interested in something that involves so much sex. However, she might decide that it's time for her career to go a different direction. It seems more likely that Matt would be interested in playing Christian - most TV actors would love to get the opportunity to audition for a movie that's bound to be blockbuster.

I also believe Alexis Bledel should have the role ... after incessantly watching these trailers on youtube it struck me how well she would fit the role!

I believe Matt would do such an amazing job playing the part. I agree he doesn't have the correct hair color but that can be changed. He has the eyes, the hair, and the appeal. Matts attire in White Collar is exactly the same in the books!
Alexandra would be perfect. In the end of the third book was a little teaser of christians perspective.. And in that christian has been hooked on to her spell since they day she fell into his office and he gazed into her big blue eyes. She has those eyes, brown hair, long legs, and great body. Everything anastasia is! Alexandra also has Ann innocent appeal to her.
I hope everyone especially the fans, director, and E L James considers these two to play the part. They already have a great background together for filming together on the set of the show White Collar.
Everyone please look at photos of the two of them together. They are the perfect grey couple. I really hope everyone considers them. I believe the would have great chemistry in front of the camera due to their experience with one another and they both look the way christian and anastasia are described!
