Although the celebrity cast of this Fall's Dancing with the Stars All-Star season was revealed in July, the couple assignments are still under wraps pending August 13's big reveal on Good Morning America. But it may not be necessary to wait for the official announcement, if pairing spoilers posted by go-to source DWTSGossip are on the mark.
On August 8, the typically reliable source tweeted "Rumor has it!" along with a set of probable male celebrity/female professional pairs. The list coupled the following returning stars and pro hoofers: Indy Car champ Helio Castroneves and Kym Johnson; singer Joey Fatone and reigning pro champion Peta Murgatroyd; DWTS season 2 winner Drew Lachey and Chelsie Hightower; actor Gilles Marini and Karina Smirnoff; Olympian Apolo Ohno and Cheryl Burke; and NFL star Emmitt Smith and Anna Trebunskaya.
Though some fans would no doubt like to see the original pairings remain intact for the All-Star season, it's not realistic, since new faces--like Murgatroyd--have replaced former stars, including Edyta Sliwinska.
The spoiled list represents an exciting set of pairings. Drew and Chelsie would be an especially dynamic pair, as would Anna and Emmitt. Helio could really bring out Kym's fun side, and technician Cheryl could work very well with a disciplined athlete like Apolo. And Karina and Gilles would be hot, hot, hot in the ballroom.
Is the list on the mark? Look for the official Dancing with the Stars All-Stars pairings announcement on August 13 and find out.
