True Blood season 5 continues next week with episode 11, "Sunset." There are only two episodes left in the season, and everyone's going to have some decisions to make.
Season 5 Episode 11 "Sunset" Promo
"Slipping further into religious fervor, Bill (Stephen Moyer) gives Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) an order she's loath to carry out. Armed with a damning video of Russell (Denis O'Hare) and Steve (Michael McMillian), the military delivers an ultimatum to the Authority. Claude (Giles Matthey) and Maurella (Kristina Anapau) take Sookie (Anna Paquin) to meet the faerie elder, who may know something about an ancient family secret. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) reconnects with his father; Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) hitch a ride into the Authority."
The last episode, "Gone, Gone, Gone," ended with Sookie finding out that she's part of a contract that has been made—and it relates to her parents' murders. With the season almost over, you figure that has to be leading up to something big in the last two season 5 episodes. Meanwhile, Tara's actions—killing Elijah—are going to have consequences. Will Pam be able to protect her? Then there are Sam and Luna, who have found their way into Authority headquarters as mice. Will they save Emma from Steve?
The True Blood season 5 episode 11 promo for "Sunset" (below) shows Bill looking at the vial of Lilith's blood, then Lilith, covered in blood, saying, "Only one can lead us. Drink the blood. Drink it all," as she touches her fingers to his lips. Later on, Bill's going to be declaring himself the chosen one. Is there any way this can end well for Bill at this point, or is he a lost cause?
This preview also has a couple of warnings in it. There's "This time you've gone too far" for the vampires at the Authority, then there's Pam warning Tara about what the Authority can do. Tara's going to be facing just that, as Rosalyn will be paying her a visit at Fangtasia—and it's not a pleasant one. Will Pam and Tara end up mixed up in what's going on with the Authority, or will this be it?
Then there's what's coming up with Sookie and Jason. Sookie tries to rally the fairies into fighting. She's tired of running. Jessica's worried about Jason and tries to talk to Bill, who says, "They're food. Nothing more." Bill is not doing anything to get himself any points at all in these recent episodes. Russell grabs Jason and uses him as bait as he tells Sookie to show herself. Other fairies hold her back. Then come the image of Jessica lying in the ground with Jason. She tells him, "I'm so sorry." Could it be that what Bill orders Jessica to do is make Jason a vampire? It's looking that way.
What do you think of the True Blood season 5 episode 11 preview of "Sunset"?
