Kate Beckinsale is one celebrity who almost always looks impeccable on a red carpet. So, when the Fashion Police spotted the actress recently, these style arbiters scrutinized this particular thespian who walked the movie premiere catwalk for the debut of Total Recall.
Yes, E! Entertainment Television sartorial spies Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, Joan Rivers, and George Kotsiopoulos went after Kate, but mostly in a good way.
All four were high on the newly engaged Beckinsale's Armani Prive gown, a dress that carried the distinctive look of python skin. With that in mind, Joan Rivers had to joke about that aspect of the form-fitting frock, saying that the gown "has more scales than Courtney Love's meth lab."
While some giggles came forth for this funny, agreement did not. In fact, George remarked she looked great in what she wore and that the particular mermaid style of this Armani Prive is a silhouette that Beckinsale rocks a lot, and that she should keep on rocking because she is ace in this look.
That said, Kelly Osbourne was a little picky about her fellow Brit's hairstyle for the Total Recall premiere. She remarked that if Kate wore her locks down instead of up, she would have been more presentable for this special occasion.
All in all, though, Kate Beckinsale wore a Armani Prive gown that looked a bit like a reptile of sorts but was perfect on this personality, at least as far as the Fashion Police were concerned.
Do you agree? Do you like the actress' latest fashion statement? Do you think she slithered into the premiere of her latest film while taking the red carpet with as much grace as she could possible muster? Please weigh in.
