Glee is going to be bringing in some new students at McKinley in season 4, and one of them is going to be singing with one of the students who has graduated and left Ohio behind. Meanwhile, those who will be covering "Call Me Maybe" have been revealed.
Season 4 Song Spoilers
According to TVLine, Rachel and Marley, one of the new students at McKinley, played by Melissa Benoist, will be singing "New York State of Mind." Executive producer Brad Falchuk calls it "a really beautiful number," and fans will be able to judge for themselves early on in the season, as it's in "one of the... first few episodes." Could Marley end up being the new Rachel at McKinley in New Directions and be dreaming of heading to New York herself? Could this Glee season 4 episode see both Rachel and Marley struggling with something in their respective places leading into their duet? Rachel is going to be facing a tough dance instructor in Kate Hudson's Cassandra, and Marley will be one of the new students.
Meanwhile, it had been revealed that New Directions will be covering "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, and now it's known who's going to be taking the leads for the song: Brittany, Tina, and Blaine. Will these three be showing those who may be joining New Directions what they can do since they were part of the group that won Nationals last year? It's good to know that Tina's going to get the chance to take on some leads this season, and hopefully taking one of the leads on "Call Me Maybe" is just one of many instances where this will happen for Tina.
What do you think of the latest about season 4 and who's singing "Call Me Maybe" and "New York State of Mind"?
