On Keeping Up with the Kardashians this week, the action begins where the action ended last week: In the therapist's office. Well, more specifically, in the therapist's bathroom where Khloe and the therapist have gathered to try and comfort a crying Rob while cajoling the only boy in the family to return to the scene of his meltdown: The therapist's office.
There sit Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Khloe Kardashian-Odom, waiting to see if their sibling/son will return so they can talk this out. The upshot is that Rob does return but is overwhelmed so the therapist speaks for him, saying that he is always trying to make everyone else happy (meaning the women in the room) but that he feels he isn't taken seriously when it comes to his ventures.
During the discussion, the idea that Robert Kardashian died too early to help his son on his way up in the business world pops up. That's when Kim remembers what it was like to lose her father, and says she was the strong one when he died. She talks about how she worked in his office, but when Khloe says she did too, Kimmy K admits she does not remember that. Khloe is not happy. Uh oh, another bout of sibling rivalry.
To try and make up for all that happened at the therapist's office, Kim writes an email to her family members to apologize. This does not go down very well. It seems to them like a slight instead of a shot at happy reconciliation.
Meanwhile on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kylie and Kendall Jenner have their own crosses to bear, having missed a lot of school due to work obligations. Kylie is having a tough time one day, and insists she is sick and doesn't want to go to school for finals but her mom is livid and tries to take her there. The teen in the vehicle protests by getting out of the car, throwing a mini tantrum which finally gets Kris' attention. Together with Bruce, the four decide home schooling is the way to go for their youngest kids who are in the working world.
As for Rob, he finally gets the opportunity to have a serious meeting to launch his own clothing line. However, it appears he doesn't take this seriously and shows up without showering and while wearing a hoodie and sweats. Not a good impression like the one Scott shows to the businessmen who are there to meet Rob since Disick is really turned out in a fine suit (and maybe an Ascot or was that just the imagination at work there?).
In any case, Scott is disgusted with Rob who says he doesn't feel well (whine, whine) but the meeting happens anyway, the results of which are not certain. Is Rob trying to sabotage himself?
Toward the end of the episode, Kim joins Khloe and Lamar for a visit to Odom's old stomping grounds in Queens. This impromptu opportunity while the three happen to be in New York at the same time has Kim wondering what she should wear since she isn't prepared to see Jamaica Avenue ("it's the hood Rodeo Drive, says Lamar) with the attire she packed.
So, she and Khloe go to work to find the right outfit but Kim ends up looking a bit like she is auditioning for Flashdance. A little too retro, a little too over-the-top. Khloe suggests she try looking a bit more like "Kimmy from the block."
After a change of clothing to a more appropriate look, the princess of Keeping up with the Kardashians joins her sister and brother-in-law to visit his old haunts and to even shoot some hoops together, showing that a Kardashian who plays together with another Kardashian and her husband can't be all that bad.
Stay tuned for next week's Kardashian family hijinks on E! Entertainment Television.
