50 Shades of Grey is full of references to beautiful classical music pieces, but author E. L. James liked to listen to songs with a little more "Boom Boom Pow" while writing the erotic novel. Who knew that Will.i.am was the inspiration for Christian Grey's "kinky f***ery?"
The author recently revealed that she listened to Black Eyed Peas tunes while writing the book, singling out the song "Sexy."
The song is all about saying no to fighting and yes to sex, so it kind of makes sense for Anastasia Steele and Christian—they might butt heads because of their differing views on his love of BDSM, but what better way to work out their differences than with a little bathtub sex?
It's also not surprising to learn that E. L. James is a big Black Eyed Peas fan since some of her lines in 50 Shades of Grey are just as goofy as references to "lovely lady lumps." Maybe Will.i.am should return her love by writing a song about "vanilla sex" for Fergie. Or maybe "chocolate hot fudge brownie sex with a cherry on top" would be more fun for the well-humped one to sing about.
The Black Eyed Peas should be able to find plenty of inspiration from other lines in the book—there are references to popsicles, vagina balls, lip-biting, nipple clamps, inner goddesses, and all sorts of other stuff that could be worked into another song with silly lyrics.
And maybe some of the band's songs could be worked into the 50 Shades movie that's in the works. Anastasia Steele could rock out to "Don't Phunk with my Heart" when she realizes that the object of her affection is all about the "dirty bit" of being in a relationship. Or she could ask him, "Where Is the Love?"
Speaking of the 50 Shades movie, Fergie's husband Josh Duhamel is an actor—maybe he could score an audition for the role of Christian Grey since James is such a big fan of his wife's music.
So can you picture the 50 Shades film with a side of Black Eyed Peas? And could Josh Duhamel play Christian?
