The 50 Shades of Grey movie won't be made for quite a while but apparently all of the rumors surrounding one particular leading man can be put to rest—at least for the time being.
Rumors have been swirling for a while now that Hollywood hunk Ryan Gosling is at the front of the pack when it comes to actors up for the role of naughty Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the erotic novels. However, despite what some believe was confirmation of this from E.L. James' husband, it's not true.
That doesn't mean Ryan won't play Christian Grey, it just means that as of right now nothing has been decided so therefore there is no front runner in the race for the role.
Author E.L James took to Twitter to dispel any and all rumors surrounding the casting of 50 Shades of Grey, saying:
"All [are just] rumors at the moment."
That statement seems quite contrary to what E.L's husband, Niall, said recently.
In an interview, Niall said that the "last he heard" Ryan Gosling was the man to beat for the role.
Obviously, he and his wife are not on the same page—no pun intended.
Who do you think is telling the truth? Did Niall accidentally let a secret slip or is there really no leading man as of yet?
