Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne don't just have to worry about The Wanted dissing them -- it has been discovered that a boy band poked fun at One Direction over a decade before the group even existed.
In their 2000 music video for the song "All the Small Things," frat boy band Blink-182 pokes fun at instrument-less boy bands of the '90s like *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, and the Backstreet Boys by replicating parts of their music videos.
Recently some eagle-eyed music fans pointed out that Blink-182 seemingly predicted the rise of One Direction way back in 2000 - Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker filmed some scenes of their music video on the same beach that 1D frolics on in their "What Makes You Beautiful" video.
In the video for "All the Small Things," Blink even seemed to predict Harry Styles' love of being naked since one of the guys goes streaking on the beach. But as it turns out, Blink is not a musical Nostradamus - the band was actually spoofing Britney Spears' "Sometimes" video in the beach scenes. They also went after Christina Aguilera (there's no word on if they predicting the popularity of 1D's rival The Wanted yet).
The guys of Blink do have a few "small things" in common with 1D - Travis Barker has a ton of tattoos just like Zayn Malik and Harry, and the guys go shirtless a lot just like Niall Horan and Liam Payne. It's just a shame that the guy at the end of Blink's video is dressed like a banana instead of a carrot - it would be pretty mind-blowing to see such a big Louis Tomlinson reference in the music video.
After Directioners check out Blink's video to see the "What Makes You Beautiful" beach in the background, they'll surely be inspired to create some "Harry, I'm pregnant" signs.
