Grey's Season 9 Episode 1 "Going, Going, Gone" Clip
In the plane crash that was the focus of the season 8 finale, Derek's hand was badly injured. One of the questions out has concerned his ability to be a surgeon in the future, and there have been teases that Callie will work on his hand with him. Well, the first sneak peek out from the September 27 episode gives an update on his recovery—and it's good news.
The Grey's Anatomy season 9 premiere clip from episode 1 "Going, Going, Gone" (below) features Callie showing Derek a scan, and he confirms that they need to book an OR. Yes, both of them are scrubbing in. Callie calls it "a very big deal," which Derek doesn't get since he's been cleared for surgery for weeks. She knows since she cleared him, but she points out he said he wasn't ready. He is now and reiterates it's not a big deal. Given what his hand looked like after the crash, it is certainly a big deal. But will everything go as he hopes once he's in the OR?
