Arie Luyendyk Jr didn't find love when he appeared on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette, but since he placed second, it has been rumored that he will be appearing on the next season of The Bachelor. However, while the racecar driver confirms he has been asked, he won't be taking producers up on their offer.
"I passed on Bachelor this season, just to concentrate on racing," Arie told Us Weekly at an event on Thursday. "I've moved on from the Bachelor franchise and I'm doing well."
With hundreds of thousands of men around the globe pining for the gig, it's shocking that Arie would turn it down. Unless, of course, he has already found love. Why else would he turn down the chance to possibly find love -- and get a huge paycheck out of the deal as well?
"When I was in that environment, I gained a lot of clarity on what I wanted to do in life and for me it really made me just focus on my career when I got out," says Arie. "That's my first love and I'm pursuing that right now."
While his decision may be surprising, Arie is doing what is right for him right now. Maybe one day, he'll get another chance and fans will get to watch him in his journey to find love.
