Grey's Anatomy season 9 began with a brief look at two doctors in different places than you've become used to seeing them in. First of all, Cristina was no longer working at Seattle Grace (she was in Minnesota), and April, after failing her boards, was on the farm. Owen went to see April to bring her back, and episode 3, "Love the One You're With," for which ABC has released the synopsis, will see her back at Seattle Grace.
Grey's Season 9 Episode 3 "Love the One You're With" Official Description
"The survivors from the crash are asked to make an almost impossible decision that will affect the rest of their lives. Meanwhile, tension grows between Jackson and April after they're forced to work together, and Alex tries to restrain himself with one of the interns."
The photos released for this episode already show that there will be some focus on Cristina at her new hospital, so will she have to be part of that "almost impossible decision" via phone? The guest cast of the episode does include an airline lawyer and an attorney. What is this decision they have to make? How will it affect them going forward? How long will it take them to all agree on this decision if it is something that is so serious?
This is going to be the Grey's Anatomy season 9 episode that April returns to Seattle in, and it sounds like even if April and Jackson wanted some time apart to figure things out, they won't get it. Will they come to a decision about what's between them by the end of the day of working together?
Then there's the matter of Alex and the interns. In the premiere, it was revealed that he was sleeping his way through the interns; now that he's staying, that's bound to be an awkward situation. But what will happen now that he's staying and not leaving Seattle behind? Is the intern he has to "restrain himself with" perhaps Jo, the intern who is taking the brunt of Meredith's "Medusa" behavior?
