Real Housewives of New York season 5 just wrapped filming and already, rumors are running rapid over who will return and who will get the axe -- if anyone. In the most recent development, producers are allegedly searching for new housewives to add into the mix on season 6.
"Right now it's unclear if a new woman or new women will be replacing the current Housewives or will be added to the existing group," a show source tells Wetpaint. "But the feelers are definitely out there."
They better be! Rating went down this season and show no signs of going back up. New York was one of the first of the Real Housewives franchise so its doubtful that Bravo would want to cancel the series but they better do something to revive it.
The source also claims that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps may be on the chopping block. "They tried the baby angle this season, but viewers didn't seem that into it," the source says. One reason no one was into it was because LuAnn's mother accidentally told press that her daughter's tubes were tied which meant that the whole thing was fabricated.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, producers have reportedly already confirmed that Sonja Morgan will be returning for season 6.
Regardless of what producers decide, something needs to be done. Ramona's antics are becoming overbearing and it takes away from the other women on the show. Perhaps they need women with stronger personalities that can match up with Ramona!
