The WWE pre-taped WWE Smackdown's Oct. 12 episode as they build towards the Hell in a Cell PPV at the end of the month. Here are spoilers
that fans can expect to see on tonight's show.
The main storyline from the show centered on the return of Randy Orton, after a vicious beat down by Alberto Del Rio took the former WWE Champion out of action a couple of weeks back. Following the main event match on the card, in which Del Rio beat Daniel Bryan by submission, he said Orton wasn't going to show up. This brought The Viper down to the ring, where he ended up hitting the RKO on ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez through the announcer's table.
Bryan, one half of the tag team champions, also showed up earlier on the card when he ran in to help his partner Kane after the Big Red Machine beat Dolph Ziggler by DQ. In what was a nice longer match, Ziggler used his Money in the Bank briefcase, picking up the disqualification, only to beat down Kane after the match.
Another storyline continued on the show was a precursor to the tag team tournament finals next week on Raw, when Sin Cara beat Damien Sandow in a singles match. Hopefully, this leads to the win by The Rhodes Scholars next week, because Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow need to be the champions.
Other matches on the card include Sheamus beating Tensai, The Band (Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal) beating Santino Marella and Zack Ryder and Big Show beating Kofi Kingston.
WWE Smackdown airs at 7 p.m. CST every Friday night on the SyFy Network.
