Breaking Dawn Part 2, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will hit theaters in less than a month now, and many are already mourning the end of the Twilight franchise. Don't throw in the towel just yet, Twihards. It ain't over 'til it's over.
According to a report from Cinema Blend, talks started back in June about ways to extend the Twilight franchise, and ranged from an additional film to a television series.
Would Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson sign back on for more of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan? Probably not--and that's where the Volturi vampires come in.
During these talks in June, it became clear that there are a number of potential spinoffs from Breaking Dawn 2 alone--and that none of them need to feature Rob and Kristen. Protecting Edward Cullen and Bella Swan's daughter Renesmee from the Volturi vampires is integral to the upcoming film. As the Cullens enlist the help of others to protect their daughter, new faces will enter the scene. Any one of these new faces carries with them the potential for a spin-off.
Do you think Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the end of The Twilight Saga? Do you believe a spinoff will emerge?
If a spinoff does come out from behind the shadows, how likely is it to succeed without the Twihard favorites--Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner? Might it be a potential flop?
