The matrimonial waltz is over for DWTS All Stars pro Anna Trebunskaya and husband Jonathan Roberts, who on October 17 revealed their plans to divorce.
The pair released a joint statement to People, citing their committment to remaining friends but claiming that a lot of "soul searching" led to the decision to end their nine-year marriage.
Both Anna and Jonathan are professional ballroom dancers, and both have competed on several seasons of Dancing with the Stars. Anna and all star partner Drew Lachey were eliminated at the close of week three on October 9. Though she's never won the Mirrorball Trophy, she finished in second place twice, with both Olympian Evan Lysacek and NFL legend Jerry Rice.
Jonathan, who last participated during season nine, enjoyed his best finish--third place--with season five partner Marie Osmond.
It's sad that Anna and Jonathan were unable--or unwilling--to make their union last, but unless they choose to share details, it's best to just wish them well in their new separate lives.
DWTS All Stars 2012 continues next week with two one-hour performance episodes including the exciting group freestyle round.
