The Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting wars continue, and so do the Books & Review polls. The latest poll asks fans to pick their favorite real life celebrity couple to play Christian and Ana. Couples include longtime sweethearts Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, the newly reconciled Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the newlyweds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, and last and sort of least, The Hunger Games' Jennifer Lawrence and her not-so-famous boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult. Also included in the poll were Channing Tatum and his wife. As if. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's names also appeared on the ballot although they may or may not still be a couple at this point. Whatever.
Although the poll is still open, it looks like The Vampire Diaries couple, Somerhalder and Dobrev are the winners. So far, they've garnered 336 votes leaving Channing Tatum and his apparently nameless wife far behind in second place with 114 votes. Unbelievable as it seems, that means that Channing and Mrs. Tatum actually clobbered the Breaking Dawn lovers Pattinson and Stewart. The recently reconciled Robsten limped into third place with a pathetic 81 votes. That's odd considering E.L. James based her Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele characters on Robsten's Twilight characters, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Could RPattz and KStew's poor performance in the poll be the result of their recent cheating/break up/make up shenanigans? Possibly.
Oh well, moving right along, Timberlake and Biel, apparently failed to garner enough votes to be worthy of mention. Ditto for Jennifer Lawrence and What's-His-Name. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez also lost miserably, but were they ever really seriously considered? Seriously?
So there you have it. Hopefully, the Fifty Shades of Grey production machine will come to a decision soon. The suspense is becoming downright torturous.
