'NCIS' Season 10 Episode 9 'Devil's Trifecta' Preview: An Extremely Awkward Situation for McGee

NCIS season 10 continues next week with episode 9, "Devil's Trifecta," which will feature the return of Melinda McGraw as Diane Sterling. However, this time, she's not only going to complicate things for her ex-husbands, but for another member of the team as well.

Fornell becoming a target of a shooting, which leads to Gibbs and him teaming up for a joint NCIS/FBI investigation, but there's a twist when they also run into Diane. Why was Fornell a target? And how is Diane going to be involved in this investigation? But that's not all that's going on with Diane, and poor McGee is going to end up in a very uncomfortable situation. How will he explain his way out of that one?

The NCIS season 10 episode 9 promo for "Devil's Trifecta" (below) shows Gibbs and Fornell running into Diane, who says, "it's none of your business" when Gibbs asks why she's there. Later, she reveals, "You two aren't the only ones with a badge." Could they have seen that coming? And then there's the matter of Diane and McGee. When Tony comments that she's coming in the bullpen, McGee is ready to make an exit. Does that take place after Gibbs and Fornell find them asleep on a couch together? Fornell's reaction has to be the best to that. Uh-oh, talk about awkward. McGee should probably make sure he doesn't end up on the elevator (or probably anywhere) with either Gibbs or Fornell alone for a while.
