'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Would Anne Hathaway Really Make a Good Ana?

50 Shades of Grey movie casting talk has gotten a bit boring—most fans want to see Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer as Christian Grey, and Alexis Bledel is a heavy favorite for the role of Anastasia Steele. However, Anne Hathaway definitely found an exciting way to get the attention of Fifty fans.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, her recent wardrobe malfunction could be seen as a 50 Shades audition of sorts. After all, she did show that she has a kinky side just like Ana by letting the world know that she likes to go commando. When she flashed her lady parts, she was also wearing a pair of crazy high heels that look like something Christian Grey would keep in his Red Room of Pain.

It could be argued that Anne Hathaway is too old to play Anastasia Steele in the 50 Shades of Grey movie, but the 30-year-old is actually one year younger than fan favorite Alexis Bledel. And perhaps an older Christian Grey could be cast alongside Anne to make her look a little younger—some Fifty fans actually think that her The Dark Knight Rises costar Christian Bale is the best choice for the role of the billionaire with a dark secret (it's not hard to see why).

Like Anastasia Steele, Anne has eyes that are too big for her face, and she has experience starring in nude scenes and playing a character who tries being in a relationship based on sex. But in Love and Other Drugs, she plays a character that's a little like Christian Grey—she tries to keep her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal's character purely physical because of a secret that makes real love scary to her.

Anne is getting Oscar buzz for her role in Les Miserables, so she has definitely proved that she'll do her best to accurately portray Ana. And after starving herself to play a dying prostitute, surely she wouldn't turn down playing a character who is always being told to eat.
