Bye-bye, Ted Nugent. It looks like Discovery Network has had enough of The Nuge's brand of gun-nuttery, and has therefore decided to pull the plug on his show. Discovery says low ratings are partially to blame for this decision, as Nugent only seemed to attract around 864,000 viewers. That's a pretty embarrassing number considering Ted has been known worldwide as a musician and firearm enthusiast. Gee, could it be that people just don't like him?
The timing of this decision couldn't be more curious. Ke$ha's "Die Young" has been pulled off the air, and a vast number of people have answered polls in favor of tighter gun control in light of the school shooting in Connecticut. A Discovery Network Spokesperson also made things a bit more curious when they stated that Ted Nugent "would not be returning to their network in any form or fashion."
In other words, you're fired, Ted. Pack your bags and hit the road. If anything, the poor ratings of American Guns and Gun Country should indicate just how wildly unpopular this man truly is.

PBS did a documentary on the "New America" paradigm and asked a young black woman, an Obama supporter, if she understood why whites are getting paranoid (I think they soft-pedaled that just a bit). The young woman answered straight up, smiling apologetically, "Well, I think they understand they're being 'niggerized', to use that word, and they realize what it means." Or words to that effect. Mind, she wasn't being malicious about it, but she put it out there.
