The list of 50 Shades of Grey movie favorites has continued to grow, but not everyone tied to the movie has expressed an interest in starring in it. So which actors and actresses have actually talked about playing Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?
Wetpaint has helpfully compiled a list of quotes from stars that are open to starring in the movie, and a lot of them could be paired together as Ana and Christian.
Arrow star Stephen Amell and Hotel For Dogs actress Emma Roberts might not seem like they have much in common, but they're both passionate about starring in 50 Shades. Emma said, "Sure, let's get hot," when she was asked about starring in the movie, while Stephen said that he wouldn't turn down the role because he wants to be able to buy a house. He does have experience playing a sexy billionaire on Arrow, and Emma learned about the world of erotic literature while working in an adult bookstore in her upcoming movie Adult World.
Ian Somerhalder is probably the star who is most passionate about starring in 50 Shades. He's talked about playing Christian Grey multiple times, and a lot of his fans think that Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale should star alongside him as Anastasia Steele. It's not hard to see why she's such a popular pick since she kind of resembles Ian Somerhalder's real-life girlfriend Nina Dobrev. Lucy Hale has said that it would be "freaking awesome" to play Ana.
Hilarious TV stars Max Greenfield and Krysten Ritter are two of the longest shots for the movie, but they'd bring a touch of humor to E. L. James's cheesy novel. Max already has experience working alongside one hot brunette with bangs on New Girl, and he's even starred in a 50 Shades-themed episode of the show. He also said that he's down with full-frontal nudity (unfortunately this is something Krysten didn't address when she tweeted her interest in the movie). However, if Krysten channeled her Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 character Chloe, Max would probably be the one in need of a safe word.
Emma Watson once said that she'd be willing to do nude scenes for the right role, and that right role might come in the 50 Shades of Grey movie "if there's interesting character development and there's an interesting story." Since Alexander Skarsgard has so much experience shooting nude scenes on True Blood, perhaps he'd be just the guy to help her get over her qualms about stripping down. He thinks he would make the best Christian because he has experience playing a character with a "sex chamber."
Emma Watson could also trade her wand for a blindfold to try to bewitch The Avengers star Chris Hemsworth. Just like Emma, he has been very cautious when he talks about 50 Shades—he has just said that "maybe" he's interested in trading Thor's hammer for a whip.
