The Golden Globes are this coming Sunday and already the buzz around one category is constant, as the competition is incredibly steep. Which of the five men nominated will walk away with the prestigious award?
According to a report from Celebuzz, the 70th annual awards show airs Sunday at 8PM on NBC, and five top actors are vying for the title of 'Best Actor in a TV Drama.' Who is your pick for the win?
The nominees
are Jeff Daniels, who stars in the HBO series The Newsroom, Steve Buscemi--star of another HBO hit series, Boardwalk Empire. Bryan Cranston was nominated for his role in AMC's Breaking Bad and Jon Hamm is AMC's second contender for his role in Mad Men. Rounding out the nominees is Damian Lewis in Showtime's fan favorite, Homeland.
Celebuzz has done their own comparison and while they haven't exactly determined which of these actors they believe will win, they have stepped out on a limb saying what they feel each actor's chances of winning are. Unfortunately, the site deems Jon Hamm's chances of winning 'poor' and Steve Buscemi only rated a 'weak' chance of reigning victorious. Bryan Cranston received a rank of 'middling,' and Jeff Daniels only rated a 'fair.' That leaves Damian Lewis, who received a rating of 'strong' quite obviously the Celebuzz choice to win the Golden Globe for this category.
Do you agree with these ratings? If you don't think Lewis is the top contender in this category on the Golden Globes, then which actor do you think will win instead?
Will you be tuning in to the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards Sunday evening? The show is preceded by a special on the same network, obviously, featuring some up close and personal interviews hosted by the cast of The TODAY Show.
