Ann Romney Says 'No Thank You' to 'Dancing With the Stars'

Shortly after Mitt Romney lost the presidential race, wife Ann Romney was approached by Dancing With the Stars and invited to be a contestant on the upcoming season of the dancing competition show.

According to a report from TMZ, Mrs. Romney is a huge DWTS fan, and even sat in the audience during last season's finale.

It seems several meetings between Ann and the Dancing With the Stars execs took place, but after it was all said and done, she decided against being a contestant.

"She will not be appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars,'" a Romney representative announced.

The training for DWTS is grueling, and since Mrs. Romney's life revolves around her family, she may have decided against taking that kind of time away from her husband, sons and grandchildren. She recently came off a whirlwind year campaigning for her husband, which meant lots of time away from home.

Ann Romney has a certain grace and well defined beauty that no doubt would have lent itself beautifully to Dancing With the Stars. Do you think she might have been a prime contender had she thrown her hat into the ring?

Maybe one hat in the ring was enough for this former campaign wife—at least for right now, anyway!
