'50 Shades of Grey' Movie: Bradley Cooper Talks Christian Grey and Lance Armstrong

50 Shades of Grey movie favorites Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer really only have one knock against them when it comes to the competition for the role of Christian Grey—the 34-year-old and 35-year-old might be a little too old to play the titillating business tycoon who is in his twenties. However, Bradley Cooper's age hasn't stopped some fans from rooting for him to get the part.

According to Design & Trend, the Silver Linings Playbook star was asked if he'd heard that he was being considered for the role, and he told ClevverNews this:

"I don't believe that that's true. I haven't even read it. I don't know anything about it, other than that it's a sex book."

So he didn't say yes or no to trading his silver linings playbook for a role in a movie based on a "sex book."

Bradley Cooper is more than a decade older than 27-year-old Christian Grey, so it would be a little shocking if he gets cast in the 50 Shades of Grey movie. Most ladies will agree that he looks hot enough to play the man who makes college student Anastasia Steele weak at the knees, but many Fifty fans don't want an actor who is too much older than Christian to get cast in the movie. Then again, Bradley is only three years older than Matt Bomer and four years older than Ian Somerhalder.

Bradley also recently denied rumors that he's in talks to play Lance Armstrong in the J. J. Abrams biopic about the cheating cyclist's life, so hopefully Lance didn't feel too flattered and full of himself when he heard those erroneous reports.

If Bradley doesn't want to play Armstrong but still wants to work with J. J. Abrams, perhaps he could score a role in Star Wars 7—he and Jennifer Lawrence would be excellent choices for the next movie in the most popular sci-fi franchise ever since they have a Han Solo and Princess Leia vibe going on. However, they've already worked together twice, so they might be a bit tired of each other.
