Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's been the two of the main stars of Vampire Diraries, but is that going to change soon? CW recently released a promotional poster showing Somerhalder's Damon with a large noose around his neck. Fortunately, Dobrev is missing from the photo but it's made a huge impact among its fans. This photo is drastically different from the other recent promos released by the network.
The tagline reads "Give him enough rope..." which implies that Somerhalder's character, known for playing vicious games on Vampire Diaries will end up hanging himself with whatever plots and schemes he's drummed up. Will Damon's chickens finally come home to roost?
The poster is enticing because there may be a major change coming for not only Ian Somerhalder but also Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley. Fans have wanted more shock lately since Dobrev became a vampire and that may be what the CW has in mind too. Faithful fans will always follow the show but this poster maybe what's needed to bring in new blood, pun intended.
