The Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting wars continue to bedevil the consciousness of the world. The quest for the perfect Anastasia Steele is heating up and has recently been narrowed down on the fan sites to a cat-fight among five favorites. The lucky ladies are, in no particular order, Selena Gomez's Spring Breakers co-star and BFF, Ashley Benson, Emilia Clarke, Emma Roberts, former front-runner Emma Watson, and Eve Hewson.
Eve who?
Although Eve Hewson is pretty much unknown, except for a fortuitous biological connection to showbiz through her rock star parental unit, Bono, many fans believe she'd make the perfect Ana Steele. At 22, the U2 star's daughter is exactly the same age as E.L. James's feckless virginal heroine. And like Ana, Eve has dark hair and blue eyes. Intriguingly, Hewson's fans consider her lack of experience, and more importantly, exposure in the film world an advantage in her quest for the coveted part. Eve, they claim, is the perfect choice for Ana because she "is...not a big star, and...the actress who plays Anastasia Steele should be relatively unknown just like Kristen Stewart was when she got cast in Twilight." Furthermore, unlike Alexis Bledel of Gilmore Girls or The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev, Hewson won't come to Fifty Shades of Grey with the excess baggage of a long running T.V. series. And although Eve starred in This Must Be The Place with Oscar winners Sean Penn and Frances McDormand, she won't remind moviegoers of an uber famous franchise as would Twilight's Stewart or Harry Potter's Emma Watson.
