NCIS season 10 continues next week with episode 22, "Revenge," and it's just too far away after the events of this week's "Berlin," isn't it? Bodnar's still out there—and closer than they had thought—and now, Tony and Ziva's lives hang in the balance. So what's next?
In "Berlin," the team learned that Ilan Bodnar had never left the United States; his brother had, as photos, which certain agencies never received, showed. And after bringing in Yaniv Bodnar, Tony and Ziva were sharing a nice moment when, out of nowhere, a car slammed into them in the intersection, and of course that was when the "To Be Continued" came up on the screen after Tony's bloody hand fell short of reaching Ziva. In next week's "Revenge," the team continues to hunt for Bodnar after the murders of Eli David and Jackie Vance, despite orders from Homeland Security to relinquish the case. But really, Homeland—Tom Morrow, come on you know these people—do you really expect Gibbs and his team to stop searching for Bodnar after everything?
The NCIS season 10 episode 22 promo begins with that shocking ending of the crash, and if you weren't already worried, Gibbs' response in the hospital when Vance asks how they are says it all. Then to make it worse, the preview shows the morgue of all places. Oh yes, this team wants revenge, and this team gets what it wants. It's just the "how" that remains a question. Is that house they're shooting up supposed to be Bodnar's hideout? What are they going to find inside?
Now, Cote de Pablo is not currently signed on for season 11; could this be why? It is hard to believe they would actually kill off Ziva before she had the chance to get her revenge and face off with Bodnar, but anything is possible. With the actress not yet signed for next season, it is very possible that Ziva does not survive the hunt for her father's killer. However, after that video call during "Berlin," there has to be at least one more face-to-face meeting between Ziva and Ilan Bodnar before it's over, doesn't there? Could NCIS use this to their advantage and perhaps fake Ziva's death so she can track Bodnar without him realizing she's still alive? The team's methods are going to be called into question in the final two episodes of the season (that's where Colin Hanks' Department of Defense Investigator character, Richard Parsons, comes in), so what exactly are they going to do in this next episode to catch Bodnar?
What do you think of the NCIS season 10 episode 22 preview of "Revenge"?
