sorry the quality is kind of poor. John set up for the audience right in front of him and crowded as I got we were out of perfect stereo range!

we arrived a bit late for good seats, It was about 45 miles away and I got off at the wrong exit!

Although I couldn't see the artist too well (hey, did I suddenly develop myopia from too much Net-ting, or what?!) , it somehow added to the atmosphere. He has a sweet, clear voice and sang with feeling - and I loved that about the performance.

John York has such a marvelous voice and he can play that

John was with a band called The bees way back in '65 when I met him, then he played with Johnny Rivers and then the Sir Douglas Quintet. He joined The Byrds when David crosby left and is such an accomplished musician. He is touring with Barry Maguire in the Trippin With the 60s show. Playing this Halloween at the Coffee Gallery in Alta Dena, CA. if anyone is interested and around here!
